The Single Point Decoder is a general purpose static reader of Passive Identification Transponders(PIT tags), suitable for applications where non-contact, unique identification of objects is required The rugged die-cast aluminum housing enables the Single Point Decoder to be used in a wide variety of environments.
The Single Point Decoder operates in conjunction with a range of standard antennae with a custom design service available for specialized applications.
An on-board Real Time Clock and Battery Backed up Memory enables optional logging of up to 1000 time-stamped events. I.D. data output from the Single Point Decoder is via RS232/422. Operating from either a low voltage d.c. or mains a.c. supply, the Single Point Decoder has a wide range of possible applications such as component tracking through manufacturing, authorization verification, animal behavior study etc.
